Fiesta De Palmas & Southern Career’s Institute

Thank you so much to Mrs. Musule for the opportunity for E & C Literacy to participate in The Fiesta De Palmas in Mcallen. E & C Literacy was able to distribute 200 childrens book, Sonic coupons, and sponsorship backpacks to parents who ventured to Fiesta De Palmas Education Area. Hundreds of families from the RGV participated in our literacy activities, such as alphabet recognition and syllable division.

We would also like to thank, Southern Career’s Institute for providing E & C Literacy the ability to host a community table at their Halloween Festival, where parents gained information about our nonprofit’s mission, participated in literacy activities, and received books! This event provided E & C Literacy the opportunity to engages with parents and provide them with early literacy resources that are useful in child success. Not only did we have a book distribution, but the children who visited our table looked wonderful in their halloween costumes!
